Red Door Bash Update

A MESSAGE FROM OUR EVENT CO-CHAIRS AND PRESIDENT & CEO
SEPTEMBER 2, 2021

Dear Gilda’s Club friends,

We have some important news to share. Due to current increases in Covid-19, Delta Variant, and breakthrough Covid cases in Davidson and surrounding counties, the 2021 Red Door Bash on October 9 will be held as a live-produced virtual event. The decision to forego an in-person evening was made to safeguard the health of our entire Gilda’s Club community, including those with cancer and who are immunocompromised. The decision was made together with our trusted medical partners, who advise against indoor gatherings where large numbers of unmasked adults are eating and drinking, regardless of vaccination status.

For those of you who attended last year’s award-winning Virtual Red Door Bash (voted 2020’s Best Virtual Event and Best Reimagined Event by NFocus readers!), we know we set the bar high. But rest assured, this year’s Red Door Bash committee is already rebooting with the goal of making the event a fun, fast-paced, entertainment-filled affair – worthy of our amazing honorees. We already have more than 100 silent auction items, including fabulous trips, vacation homes, jewelry, art, and more for your bidding pleasure. We also have a stellar program lineup, featuring music by the talented Jenny Tolman and Dave Brainard, and Celebrity Guest Host Demetria Kalodimos.

We hope we can continue to count on your support of this year’s Red Door Bash – and, if you haven’t already reserved your seat, please consider buying a table or ticket today. Now, perhaps more than ever, funding our mission is critical.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to harriet@gildasclubmiddletn.org or lorraine@gildasclubmiddletn.org.

Thank you for your support,

Rae Hirsch and Erica Jacobs
